I need to admit that the first thing that comes into my mind about the difference between cinema and theatre is they are found in different times. Cinema is well supported with high computer technologies while theatre has a long history and it gives me the impression of "hand-made" instead of "machine-produced", like cinema. For me, both of them have their specialities and we can't say which is better than the other but obviously, when the word cinema is mentioned, what I have in my mind is a dark room with a large screen, amazing sound effect, popcorn and relaxing mood. But when it comes to theatre, I can imagined (as I never been to a theatre nor watch a play before) theres a large hall with a wide stage, light effects and a serious mood. Actually, after I really gone through both of this two entertainments, I found that actually they have quite many similarities, such as both of them consist of actors play, script, plot and music and in my opinion, be a theatrical actor is a bigger challenge than playing in movies. Why? I think playing in theatre requires years of practising in order to empower your memory and improving your abilities and besides, they are no allow for take two in theatre play. Another difference that I found is the subject played in theatre is connected to literature and of course, history mostly while in cinema, the movies played can be any subjects such as fiction, horror, comedy, almost everything with the help from computer technologies effects. Come to conclusion, if I would like to seek for relaxation I will choose for a movie to watch but if I would like to seek for self improvement I would choose a play to watch. Thanks for viewing my friends.
